Skype Mac 2.6 Plus Call Transfer

Today saw the release of Skype for Mac 2.6. The software has been in beta for some time now but is now officially available for download.

Apart from it improving the stability and quality of calls from your Mac, it now also includes a new Call Transfer feature that allows you to transfer a call to other Skype users on your contact list. This is the first time a new feature is being made available to mac-afarian’s before windows users.

Carter Adamson, General manager of desktop products said that Mac users have very high expectations so they take the time to get things right and that their decision to deploy on Mac first demonstrates their commitment to this fast-growing segment of Skype users.

Apart form the new call-transfer feature, Skype for Mac 2.6 now also offers features that were previously only available on other platforms. features like join public chats, chat typing indicator, Skype Prime, automatic updates and auto answer tones are now standard in v 2.6
